Regulations on the Management of Undergraduates Status at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (Revised in 2023) (This is a translation of the official version in Chinese. In case of any discrepancy, the Chinese version shall prevail.)
Chapter Ⅰ General Provisions Article 1 The Regulations are hereby formulated, in accordance with the Common University Student Management Rules and the Charter of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, and in combination with the actual situation of the University, to fully implement the Party’s educational policy, regulate the administration of undergraduates, maintain regular teaching order, safeguard the legal rights and interests of undergraduates, and nurture socialist builders and successors with an all-round moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic grounding with a hard-working spirit. Article 2 These Regulations are applicable to all undergraduate students (hereinafter referred to as “students”) receiving general higher education at the University. The management of continuing education students, students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, matriculated students and international students shall refer to these regulations.
Article 3 Students are legally entitled to the following rights during their schooling: (I)Participate in the educational activities arranged by the University’s educational and teaching plan and use the educational and teaching resources provided by the University; (II) Engaged in social practice, volunteer service, work-study program, cultural and sports activities and scientific and technological innovation and receive the guidance and services of employment and entrepreneurship; (III) Apply for scholarships, grants and student loans; (IV) Receive a scientific and fair evaluation in terms of ideological and moral character, academic performance, and obtain the corresponding diplomas and degrees after completing the prescribed studies at the University; (V) Organize and participate in student groups at the University, engage in school management in appropriate ways, and have the right to know, participate, express opinions, and supervise the affairs related to the rights and interests of the University and students; (VI) Appeal to the University or the educational administrative department if there is a disagreement with the University’s decisions or disciplinary actions, and file a complaint or legally initiate a lawsuit against actions by the University or faculty that infringe upon Students’ right to education, personal rights, property rights, and other legitimate rights and interests; (Ⅶ) Other rights stipulated by the laws and regulations and the University’s charter. (II) Comply with the University’s charter and regulations; (III) Adhere to the academic ethics and complete the prescribed course of study; (IV) Pay tuition and related fees according to regulations, and fulfill corresponding obligations of obtaining loans and grants; (V) Comply with the codes of conduct for students, respect teachers and develop soundideological and moral character and behavior habits; (VI) Other obligations stipulated by laws, regulations, and the University’s charter.
Chapter Ⅲ Enrollment and Registration Article 5 New students shall register for enrollment on time with the Admission Notice of the University. Those who fail to arrive on time should submit a written application for approval and relevant certificates. After approval by the college, the college should report to the Office of Education Administration for record. For most cases this period of absence is limited to a maximum of 14days. Those who fail to apply for a leave in written form or whose leave is not approved and do not complete enrollment procedures within 14 consecutive days, except for justifiable reasons such as force majeure, will be deemed as a waiver of admission qualifications. Article 6 The University conducts a preliminary review of the qualifications of new students upon registration. Those who pass the review have their enrollment procedures completed and are registered for their student status. If the review reveals that the new students’ admission notice, examinee information and other supporting materials do not conform to their actual situation, or there are other violations of the regulations of the national enrollment examination, their admission qualification will be revoked. Article7 New students may apply for retention of admission qualifications. There is no student status during the period of retention of admission qualification. (Ⅰ) New students who have any of the following circumstances may apply for retention of admission qualifications and submit relevant certificates: 1. Those who are enlisted in the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (including Chinese Armed Police Force); 2. Those whose physical and mental condition are diagnosed by a designated hospital ranked at least two, grade A as physically and mentally unsuitable for on-campus study; 3. Those who have other special reasons that prevent their enrollment. (II) The retention of admission qualification shall involve an application by the individual, review by the college, and approval by the University. (III) Upon review and approval by the University, the admission qualification may be retained for 1 year; for new students conscripted into the military, their admission qualification may be retained for up to 2 years after their discharge. (IV) Those retaining admission qualification shall apply for enrollment in written form to the University at least one month before the expiration of the retention period. After the University’s review and approval, they shall go through the enrollment procedures. If they fail to pass the review, their admission qualification will be revoked. If enrollment procedures are not completed within time limit and there are no legitimate reasons for the delay due to force majeure, they will be deemed to have given up their enrollment qualification. For those retaining admission qualification due to physical and mental health reasons, they shall be diagnosed by a designated hospital as having recovered and pass the University’s re-examination before going through enrollment procedures. If they fail to pass the re-examination or complete enrollment procedures within time limit, their admission qualification will be revoked. Those who have retained their qualification for enrollment due to enlistment in the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (including the Chinese People’s Armed Police Force) shall apply for enrollment within two years after their discharge from military service. Article 8 After enrollment, the University shall conduct a re-examination within three months in accordance with the regulations of the state on enrollment. The re-examination mainly includes the following aspects: (I) Whether the admission procedures conform to the regulations of the state on enrollment; (II) Whether the admission qualification obtained is authentic and in line with relevant regulations; (III) Whether the identity certificate is consistent with the admission notice and the examinee’s files; (IV) Whether the physical and mental health condition meets the medical examination requirements of the major or category of majors, and whether the normal study and life at school can be guaranteed: (V) Whether the professional level of art, sports and other special types of students meets the admission requirements. If the re-examination reveals that the students have fraud, favoritism and other situations, they shall be determined to be unqualified for the re-examination, and their student status shall be revoked; if the circumstances are serious, the University shall transfer it to the relevant departments for investigation and handling. If the re-examination reveals that the physical and mental condition of the students are not suitable for on-campus study, and they need to recuperate at home after being diagnosed by a designated hospital, their admission qualifications shall be retained in accordance with the provisions of Article 7. The procedures and methods for re-examination shall be carried out in accordance with the University’s relevant regulations. Article 9 The handling of canceling the admission qualification or student status for new students shall be reviewed by the college, re-examined by the Office of Education Administration, and submitted to the Principal’s Office or a special meeting authorized by the principal for research and decision-making. Students whose admission qualification or student status has been canceled shall have their files returned to their home location by the University. Those who have transferred their household registration shall have their hukou (household registration) moved back to their original place of registration or their family’s registered residence in accordance with national regulations. Article 10 Within 14 days from the deadline for student registration set by the University each semester, students should present their relevant documents and payment receipts to their respective college to complete the registration procedures in order to be eligible for the study of current semester. In case of failure to register as scheduled, the registration suspension procedures shall be performed. Those who fail to pay tuition fees in accordance with the regulations of the University or fail to meet other requirements for registration shall not be registered. Students with family financial difficulties may apply for student loans or other forms of financial assistance and register after completing the relevant procedures.
Chapter Ⅳ Attendance Article 11 Students shall attend the courses and various educational sessions (hereinafter referred to as “courses”) prescribed in the school’s educational program. If they are unable to attend for any reason, except those have applied for exemptions, they shall ask for a leave. Those who are absent without approval are treated as absent from class. Article 12 The attendance of students is the responsibility of the college, with the University overseeing the process. Lecturers of the courses are responsible for the attendance records during teaching activities. Class leaders shall report the attendance to the teaching management personnel and counselor of the college every week, and the teaching management department of the college gives regular feedback on attendance to the vice dean in charge of teaching. Counselors and head teachers should strengthen the education and management of students’ attendance. Article 13 Students who are unable to participate in teaching activities as scheduled due to illness or special circumstances must complete the leave procedures at the college in advance. Sick leave must be accompanied by a medical certificate. Students are allowed a maximum of 60 days of sick leave and 30 days of personal leave per semester. For sick leaves of less than 7 days, the leave must be approved by the counselor and reported to the college’s teaching management personnel for record. For sick leaves exceeding 7 days, after verification by the counselor, approval must be obtained from the vice dean in charge of teaching and reported to the teaching management personnel. Sick leaves exceeding 14 days must also be reported to the Office of Education Administration and the Department of Student Affairs for record. For personal leaves of less than 3 days, the leave must be approved by the head teacher and counselor and reported to the college’s teaching management personnel. For personal leaves exceeding 3 days, after verification by the head teacher and counselor, the approval must be obtained from the vice dean in charge of teaching and reported to main leader of the college. Personal leaves exceeding 7 days must also be reported to the Office of Education Administration and the Department of Student Affairs. When students participate in major events organized by provincial-level or above administrative departments in teams organized by the University (such as disciplinary or scientific and technological competitions, large-scale cultural and sports activities, etc.), or participate in significant school events that conflict with teaching activities and require leave, the organizer should submit a written application with relevant certificate in advance. After approval by the Office of Education Administration, the organizer should inform the lecturer and report to the students’ college for record. The duration of leave should not exceed 60 days. Students going abroad for short-term study, studying abroad, or attending international academic conferences shall follow the relevant procedures as stipulated by national and University regulations. Article 14 Upon expiration of the leave of absence, students shall come to school to cancel the leave in a timely manner according to the approved period. If the leave needs to be renewed, students must present relevant certificates and follow the procedures for renewal of leave as stated above. Students who fail to cancel their leave in time will be treated as absence from class. Article 15 Except those who have been granted exemption from the courses, the student will be disqualified from taking an examination (test) in that course under any of the following circumstances: (I) The total number of hours missed in a course reaches one-third or above of the total number of hours in the course; (II) The number of missed assignments (including exercises and lab reports, etc.) and missed labs in a course reaches one-third or above of the total number of times in the course.
Chapter Ⅴ Evaluation and Recording Article 16 Students should participate in the course assessment and only those with qualified performance to the assessment requirements will obtain the credit accordingly. The examination results are counted in the transcript of academic record and filed in the personal files of students. Article 17 The University records and produces academic results of students in a true and complete manner, and marks the grades obtained through make-up exams, retakes and repeating courses. If students discontinue their studies due to withdrawal or other circumstances, the courses they have taken and the credits they have earned during study period shall be recorded in their transcript of academic record. Article 18 The assessment and evaluation of students’ moral character is mainly based on Student Management Stipulation of the General Institutes of Higher Education (Order No. 41 of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China) in the form of personal summaries and democratic appraisals by teachers and students. Article 19 Assessment All courses shall be assessed. There are two kinds of course assessment: exam-based and non-exam-based. Examinations may be written (closed-book or open-book), online exams, online operational exams, oral exams, essays, work design, research reports, participation in the corresponding national and provincial exams, or comprehensive assessment can be arranged according to the actual needs. The assessment method shall be stipulated in the course syllabus and shall be announced to students in time. Article 20 Evaluation of Assessment Grades (I) The course grade is a combination of the regular grade and the final examination grade. Among them, the final examination grade accounts for no more than 70 percent of the assessment grade. If the course examination reform is implemented, the grade assessment method shall be submitted by the lecturer, reviewed by the director of the department (Teaching and Research Office) or the person in charge of the teaching team, and approved by the vice dean in charge of teaching of the college. The assessment method shall be stipulated in the course syllabus and announced to students in time. The regular grade is based on a combination of class attendance, course work (readings, reports, papers, labs, quizzes, etc.), class discussions, and midterm examinations. For the same course, the grade for re-taking will be a combination of the regular grade and the grade of re-taking in accordance with the originally requirements stipulated for that course. (II) All course grades shall be assessed and recorded according to the hundred-mark system. Students who score 60 or above will be awarded a pass and those who are absent, cheat or violate the discipline will be recorded as zeros. (III) GPA (Grade Point Average): GPA is calculated on the five-grade marking system as follows: 1. Course Grade Point = Course Grade/10-5 (Note: the smallest unit of GPA is 0.1, when the GPA is less than 1, it is treated as 0. Exempted courses are recorded as 1); Correspondence between grades and GPAs: Percentage 60, 61 ... 65 ... 70 ... 80 ... 90 ... 95 ... 100 GPA 1.0, 1.1, ... 1.5 ... 2.0 ... 3.0 ... 4.0 ... 4.5 ... 5.0 Percentage weighted average scores are converted according to the above correspondence. 2. Course GPA = Course Grade Point x Course Credits 3. Grade Point Average (GPA) = ∑ (Course Grade Point*Course Credits)/∑Credits; the sum of the GPAs earned by a student during the period of study divided by the sum of the number of credits taken by the student during the same period of study is the student’s GPA. (IV) The evaluation of physical education course highlights process management and is based on attendance, in-class teaching, extracurricular exercise and physical fitness. For those who cannot participate in the physical education program due to diseases or physiological defects can obtain the corresponding credits by attending health care physical courses with the diagnosis of the University hospital and the consent of the Department of Public Physical Education and Sports. Article 21 Deferment of examinations If students fail to take the final examination due to illness or other special reasons, they shall submit an application for a deferment before the commencement of the examination. The application should be confirmed by the counselor, approved by the lecturer and the vice dean in charge of teaching of the college and then submitted to the college’s teaching management personnel for record. Unauthorized absence from the examination shall be treated as absence from the examination. Practical courses (including experiments), public elective courses, make-up courses, retake courses, and courses without make-up examination are not allowed to apply for deferment. Students who have applied for deferment may take the examination at the beginning of the next semester together with the students who participate in the make-up examination. If they fail this examination, no make-up examination will be arranged and they need to retake the course. Article 22 Absence from examinations Under the following circumstances, students will be treated as absence from examinations, who shall not be allowed to take make-up exams, but shall retake the course: (I)Fail to take the final examination and fail to go through procedure of deferment in accordance with the above regulations, except for force majeure; (II)Fail to gain approval of the application for deferment and fail to take the final examination; (III)Be more than 15 minutes late for the final examination; (IV)Fail to withdraw from a course within the stipulated time after selecting the course and fail to take the final examination. Article 23 Make-up examinations (I)Students who fail to complete the requirements of compulsory courses and elective courses of the major (excluding practical courses) stipulated in the cultivation program must take the make-up examination arranged by the University at the beginning of the next semester. For those who fail the courses in the last semester before graduation will be given one opportunity for make-up examination. Each course has only one opportunity for make-up examination. After passing the make-up examination, the grade of the course will be recognized as 60, and marked and recorded in the transcript of academic record. (II) If students fail in the public elective course, there will be no course grade nor make-up examination. They may either retake the course in the following semesters or change to other courses. If students pass the same public elective course several times, the highest grade will be recorded. Article 24Course retaking Students who are under any one of the following circumstances shall retake courses and no make-up examinations shallbe arranged: (I) Those who fail in make-up examinations of the compulsory and elective courses of the major stipulated in the cultivation program; (II) Those who fail to pass the practical courses (including experiments); (III) Those who are absent from the course for 1/3 or above of the total hours; (IV) Those who fail to do assignments (including exercises and experiment reports) and experiments for more than 1/3 of the total times in the course; (V) Those who are absent from examinations, violate the discipline or cheat in examinations; (VI) Those who fail to pass the deferred examination and retake examination. If students retake a course for several times, the highest grade will be marked and recorded in the transcript of academic record. Article 25Grade Inquiry and Review Course grade will be recorded directly into the Educational Administration System by the lecturer, and the written transcripts shall be kept along with the Teaching Handbook. Students may check the results through the system. Students who disagree with the grades should apply for review within 7 days of the announcement of the examination results. With the consent of the college and the approval of the Office of Education Administration, the college offering the courses shall review the grade accordingly. Studentsthemselves are not allowed to check the examination papers. Article 26The University carries out integrity education for students, records the integrity information of students in terms of academic studies, scientific research, moral conduct and other aspects in an appropriate manner, and establishes a mechanism for restraining and disciplining dishonest behaviors; in the case of serious dishonest behaviors, appropriate disciplinary actions will be taken, and in the case of breach of academic integrity, restrictions will be placed on the obtaining of degrees, as well as on the awarding of academic titles, honors and so on.
Chapter ⅥCourseTaking Article 27 Students shall make up for the stipulated courses in accordance with thecultivation programdue to transferring school, changing major or other reasons. Article 28 Students who do not pass the examinations shall retake the course. And those who pass the examination can apply for retaking the course if the teaching resources permit. Article 29 Students may apply for exemption for a particular course due to course conflicts or campus conflicts, except for physical education courses and practical courses (including experiments), but they shall complete the required experiments so as to take the course examination. If they pass the examination, they will obtain the corresponding credits. The grade will be recorded according to the paper score. Article 30Students with excellent academic performance and GPA above 3.7 may apply for exemption at the end of the last semester prior to the commencement of the course. Students who pass the examination may apply for exemptions and obtain corresponding credits. Those who fail to pass the examination or are absent from the examination shall not take exemptions from the course and shall take make-up examination. The following courses are not allowed for exemption: ideological and political theory courses (including military theory courses), physical education courses, and practical courses (including experiments). Students who retired from the army and now resume studiesmay apply for exemptions in public physical education, military training and military theory and obtain the corresponding credits directly. Article 31 Students may minor in other majors or take courses in other majors according to the regulations of the University. They may also apply for an inter-college minor or program of study according to cross-school joint training agreement or participate in the open online courses acknowledged by the University. The course grade will be recorded after review and approval by the University. The course credits obtained by the students due to re-admission, change of academic status, second degree of self-study for undergraduate education, studying abroad or academic exchange in or out of the country shall be recognized upon application by the students, and approval by the college and departmentoffering the course. Article 32 The University encourages and supports students to participate in activities such as social practice, innovation and entrepreneurship activities, and sets up credits accordingly. Students who participate in activities such as innovation and entrepreneurship, social practice, etc. or publish papers, obtain patent authorization and other experiences and achievements related to professional learning and academic requirements may apply for conversion of credits,which may be counted in their academic results with the approval of the Department of Student Affairs. The recognition of credits shall be carried out according to the Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Credit Recognition Management Methods.
Chapter ⅦMajor and School Transferring Article 33 Students who are interested in other majors or expertise in other majors may apply for changing the major, which should be carried out in accordance with the Undergraduate Changing Major Management Methods. Article 34 Students shall not transfer to another major under any of the following circumstances: (Ⅰ) Majors that are not allowed to change according to the national regulations upon admission, including majors that belong to directional employment program and small languages. (Ⅱ) Special requirements have been made upon admission or those who are not admitted by National College Entrance Examination. (Ⅲ) Those who have made clear appointment with the University before admission. (Ⅳ) Those whose admission qualifications are reserved, whose student status are reserved and who are in suspension of schooling. (Ⅴ) Those who are in Yanjiaxian Program. (Ⅵ) Other situations that are unfair and unjust. Article 35 Students who are certified by the designated hospitals that they have some kind of diseases or physical defects,which makes them unable to study in the original major but able to study in another major, may apply for changing major in accordance with relevant regulations. Students who have been suspended their studies for entrepreneurship or discharged from the army to resume studies will be given priority if they need to change their majors. Article 36The University, which adjust majors due to the changes of the demand of talents in society, may allow students to change the major. Article 37 In general, students should finish their studies in the University. However, students may apply for transferring to another university due to diseases or special circumstances in which students may not continue to study in the University or fail to meet the study requirements of the University. The procedures shall be carried out in accordance with relevant regulations of educational administration at provincial level and the University. Article 38 Students shall not transfer to another university under any of the following circumstances: (I) Those who have been enrolled for less than one semester or who have one year left to graduate; (II) Those whose admission grades of the National College Entrance Examination are lower than those of the students of relevant majorswho are from the same original province in the corresponding year; (III) Those who transfer from a lower academic level to a higher academic level; (IV) Those who have been admitted as special forms such as directional employment, art, sport, high level art troupes, high level sports teams, etc. (V) Those who have not participated in National College Entrance Examination or who have not been admitted by the grades of National College Entrance Examination; (VI) Those who shall be withdrawn from the University; (Ⅶ) Other unjustified reasons for transferring.
Chapter Ⅷ Suspension and Resumption of Schooling Article 39Students shall be suspended from their studies under any of the following circumstances: (I) Those who need to suspend classes for treatment or recuperation for more than 60 days as diagnosed by the designated hospital due to physical or mental health; (II) Those who need to temporarily interrupt studies for more than 30 days due to special reasons and difficulties; (III) Those who have other special reasons for suspension of schooling that are stipulated by the University. Article 40For students who have been enlisted in Chinese People’s Liberation Army(including the Chinese Armed Police Force), the University shall retain their academic status until 2 years after the retirement from the army. For those who meet the conditions of suspending their courses to engage in business, they may apply for suspension of schooling in accordance with the needs of entrepreneurship and go through suspension procedures according to the regulations of the University after consulting the University about the years of suspension. The student status of students who participate in cross-school joint cultivation programs which organized by the University will be remained during that period. Students whose student status are remained should establish management relationships with the army, university and other organizations. Article 41 For students who apply for suspension of schooling or retained status, they shall conduct the procedure for suspension. All the procedure should be applied by students in person, reviewed by their colleges and approved by the Office of Education Administration. Article 42 Students normally may apply for suspension of schooling or retained status for a period of one year. If they need to continue their suspension or retained status, they shall present the relevant certificate and follow the above-mentioned procedures. The total number of suspensions shall not exceed twice. The University shallretain their student status during students’ suspension, but they maynot enjoy the same treatment as students in university. The medical expense shallbe handledaccording to relevant national and local regulations. Article 43 For students who apply for suspension of schooling or retained status, they shall apply for resumption of study within 7 days of the commencement of the expired semester, and they can resume their studies only if they pass the review of the University. In principle, students who resume studies will continue studies in the next grade. When the original major has been adjusted or stopped enrollment, students can study in another relevant major. For students who suspend their studies due to physical and mental health reasons, they shall present amedical diagnosis certificate from adesignated hospital to verify their recovery when applying for resumption of their studies. Also, it must be endorsed by the University hospital so that they can resume their studies.
Chapter Ⅸ Academic Probation and Withdrawal from the University Article 44 The University adopts academic warningsystem. All are carried out in accordance withtheUndergraduates Academic Warning RelevantMethods. Article 45 Students who fail to pass compulsory courses and elective courses of the major reaching15credits and students who fail to earn 1/4 of credits that educational plan required for a semesterwill be given academic probation. Students and their parents will be informed of this situation by their colleges. Article 46 Students who fail to pass the compulsory and elective courses of the major reaching 25 creditsshallbe given academic probation. Students and their parents will be informed of this situation by their colleges. Article 47 Academicwarningand academic probationare both last for one term. When students who are inacademic probationor after this periodviolate Article 46 for the second time, students and their parents will be informed and advised to withdraw from the University by their colleges. Students who reject withdrawal should apply for studying in a grade lower than them in written form. After the approval of their colleges, they should inform the Office of Education Administration which will record this situation. Article 48 Students shall be withdrawn from the University under any of the following circumstances: (I) Those whose academic performance do not meet the requirements of the University or those who have not completed their studies in the stipulated time period; (II) Those who do not apply for resumption application in 14 days upon expiry of the suspension or retention period of student status, or the review results of resumption application are not up to the standard; (III) Those who are unable to continue the study in the University due to illness or accidental injuries/disabilities, as diagnosed by the hospital designated by the University; (IV) Those who are absent from teaching activities stipulated by the University for two consecutive weeks without approval; (V) Those who fail to register within the time stipulated by the University and also fail to go through formalities on postponed registration; (VI) Those who study outside the mainland but fail to return to school on time without approval; (Ⅶ) Those who agree withdrawal suggestions from the University. (Ⅷ) Those who apply for drop-out voluntarily. Article 49 The withdrawal of students is initiated by their colleges, reviewed by the Office of Education Administration, and presented to the President’s Office or a specially authorized meeting for study and decision. For students who have voluntarily withdrawn or been administratively withdrawn from the University, the University shall issue a decision and send it to students themselves. For students who personally refuse to acknowledge receipt, the documents may be delivered through service in lien; for those who have already left the University, mailing may be employed; and for those difficult to contact, delivery may be made through public announcements on the University’s website, news media, and other means. If students apply for the dropout, they shall proceed with the withdrawal process upon the endorsement of the University. Article 50 Students who have voluntarily withdrawn or been administratively withdrawn from the University, are required to complete the procedures within 7 days from the date of receiving the Notice of Leaving School. Their files will be returned to their hometown, and their hukou (household registration) will be transferred back to the original place or the location of the family’s household registration according to relevant national regulations. Students who have voluntarily withdrawn or been administratively withdrawn from the University, cannot apply for resumption of schooling.
Chapter Ⅹ Graduation, Completion and Undergraduate Article 51 The study period for undergraduate students is 4 or 5 years (as stipulated in the cultivation program of the major). Article 52 When students are enlisted in the Chinese People’s Liberation Army(including Chinese Armed Police Force), this period of time shall not be counted towards the total study period. Other special reasons such as suspension of schooling and being kept down next year (not more than 2 years) which have been approved by the University shall not be included too. Article 53 Students who have completed the required content of the teaching program within the prescribed length of study, with qualified performance satisfactory to the graduation requirements will be allowed to graduate, and granted a graduation certificate. Those qualified in degree awarding will be granted academic degree certificates. Article 54 Students who are politically and ideologically sound, have excellent learning abilities and have completed the required content of the education ahead of schedule can graduate in accordance with the relevant regulations of the University upon in-person application, recommendation by college, and approval of the Office of Education Administration and the University. They shall be permitted to graduate from the University and granted a graduation certificate. Four-year undergraduates who apply for early graduation shall complete three years of study at the University; Five-year undergraduates who apply for early graduation shall complete four years of study at the University. Article 55 Students who have completed the required content of the teaching program within the prescribed length of study while fail to meet the graduation requirements of the University shall be allowed to wind up their studies and granted certificates of Completion by the University. Upon winding up, students can apply to make up the course in the prescribed length of study. If they pass the examination and earn enough credits, they shall be allowed to get graduationcertificates. Those qualified in degree awarding shall be granted the academic degree certificates. The time of graduation and degree awarding as indicated in the graduation certificates and academic degree certificates are subject to the certificate issuance date. Students who drop out of the University shall be granted the certificate of attendance if they have studied for 1 year, or the certificate of study if they have studied for less than 1 year.
Chapter Ⅺ Academic Certificate Management Article 56 The University shall issue academic certificates, academic degree certificates and other certificates in accordance with the form of study and the personal information determined and filled during the admission process. During the schooling, if there is a need to change personal information, such as name and date of birth, which is required for certificates, there should be reasonable and sufficient reasons. Additionally, supporting documents with statutory force shall be provided. Article 57 The University shall carry out the e-registration management for student status and qualification of higher education, refine its management methods, and promptly complete the e-registration procedure in accordance with relevant regulations. Article 58 Miner degree, dual degree, joint degree, second degree shallbe issuedin accordance with relevanthigher-leveldocuments. Article 59 For those who violate national enrollment regulations to obtain admission qualifications or student status, the University shall cancel their student status and not issue the academic certificates and academic degree certificates. If they have already been issued, the University will revoke them in line with the law. In cases where academic misconduct, such as cheating, plagiarism, or other unethical means, is used to obtain certificates, the University will revoke them in line with the law. For revoked academic certificates or academic degree certificates that have been registered, they shall be canceled based on the law and regulations. Also, the University shall report to the education administrative department for an announcement of invalidation. Article 60 In the event of loss or damage to academic certificates and academic degree certificates, the University will issue the certificate upon the individual’s application and review by the University. Both texts are equally authentic.
Chapter Ⅻ Supplementary Provisions Article 61 In these regulations, “above” and “not exceeding” include the number itself, while “within” and “exceeding” do not. Article 62 These regulations which herein shall come into effect from the students enrolled in 2023. In the event of any inconsistency between these regulations and other relevant documents, these regulations shall prevail. Students enrolled in 2022 and before may adhere to the previous provisions theOffice of Education Administration and other related functional department shall be responsible for the interpretation of these regulations. |
