International Students Were Invited to Participate in the 1st China-Africa Future Leaders Dialogue

The 1st China-Africa Future Leaders Dialogue, hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), was held in the afternoon of November 7. About 300 representatives from political, business and academic representatives from China and 48 African countries attended the event online or offline.

Ten representatives of international students from FAFU were invited to participate in the online event and listened carefully to the experience and thoughts shared by youth representatives from China and Africa. They shared three major views including: Youth's Vision: Significance of China's Development to the World; Youth’s Power: Promoting China-Africa Win-win Cooperation and Common Development; and Youth’s Mission: Building a China-Africa Community with a Shared Future. They witnessed the unanimous adoption of The 1st Joint Declaration of China-Africa Future Leaders Dialogue. After the event, the students expressed their expectation for more establishment of mechanisms and platforms for China-Africa youth exchange and cooperation.

It is reported that the China-Africa Future Leaders Dialogue was launched by CPAFFC in 2021 to implement the outcomes of the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. This year, the theme of the event is ‘The New Roles of Youths in Moving into New Era of China-Africa Cooperation’. Lin Songtian, President of CPAFFC, and Rahamtalla M. Osman, AU representative in China, attended the event and delivered speeches.
