Recently, under the guidance of the Fujian Provincial Red Cross Society and sponsored by the Youth League Committee and the Red Cross Society of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, the 36th World AIDS Day 2023 series of activities Gathering Social Forces and Working Together to Fight AIDS were held online and offline simultaneously. 5 international student representatives from International College participated.

This event was held at Pioneer Square, Chunhui Bridge and the North District Track and Field Stadium from December 1st to 3rd. The activities included AIDS prevention themed check-in, knowledge competition, book sale, etc. By participating in this activity, international students not only increased their knowledge about AIDS prevention and treatment, but also met more Chinese friends, gained friendships, and improved their Chinese language proficiency and understanding of Chinese culture.

BUI HONG NGOC, an international student from Vietnam, said with deep emotion, This event is very meaningful. Although AIDS is far away from us, it is essential to raise awareness of AIDS prevention. China's AIDS prevention and treatment work has been very effective and is worth learning from many countries.

International students in our college come from more than 40 countries, and the national conditions and cultures of each country are quite different. The college adheres to the concept of convergence management, encourages international students to actively integrate into the school family, supports students to participate in relevant activities held by the school or brother colleges, and communicates with Chinese students through The interaction improves their level of “knowledge of China” and cultivates a sense of “friendship with China”.
