2025Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University Admission Guide for International Applicants
Eligibility
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport.
2. Applicants should be in good physical and mental health (meet the physical examination requirements stipulated by the country and Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University). Please download the attached file for details.
3. Education background and age limit:
- Applicants for master degree studies must have bachelor's degree or its equivalent and be under the age of 35(born after April 30, 1990).
- Applicants for Doctoral degree studies must have master's degree or its equivalent and be under the age of 40(born after April 30, 1985).
4. Language Proficiency
- Chinese-taught Program
Applicant for Chinese-taught programs should have HSK-5 certificate or above.
- English-taught Program
Applicants from non-English speaking countries for English-taught programs should have IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 85 points or above, or provide an equivalent level of language ability certificate.
5. Applicants should maintain a friendly attitude towards China and have no criminal record. Furthermore, applicants should abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University.

Application Time
The application deadline is April 30th, 2025 (12:00a.m. Beijing time).
Application Documents
1. A scanned copy of the Passport Information Page
An applicant shall submit a clear scanned copy of the information page of his/her passport that will not expire on or before February 1, 2026. Renew the passport if the requirement is not met.
2. The highest education certificate(notarized photocopy)
Notarized translation in Chinese or English must be attached if the submitted documents are not in Chinese or English. An applicant who is a current university student shall submit the certificate of expected graduation issued by his/her university.
3. The highest academic transcript
Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English shall be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English;
4. Personal statement
A study or research plan in Chinese or in English (no less than 800 words). Besides, PhD program applicants need to submit a brief introduction of research experiences.
5. Chinese / English proficiency test certificate or equivalent language proficiency test certificate (it is not required for overseas students come from the country where English is the official language and apply for English-teaching majors).

7. Recommendation letters
Recommendation letters in Chinese or English from two professors or associate professors in related academic fields (with phone number and email address). The issuance date is after December 1st, 2024.
8. An applicant under the age of 18 shall submit the legal documents of his/her legal guardian(s) in China.
9. The funds guarantee certificate issued by the bank or the guarantee certificate issued by the economic guarantor (no requirement for scholarship students).
10. Physical examination results
The Physical Examination Form for Foreigner should be stamped by the hospital and issued within six months.(After January 2025)(see Attachment 3 for template). The physical examination form without items, personal photo, and stamp on the photo, signature of doctor and seal of hospital is invalid;
11. Certificate of no criminal record.
12. A letter of recommendation on school performance
Applicants who are currently in China should also provide a Chinese or bilingual letter of recommendation on school performance issued by the international student management department or training college they are currently studying (except FAFU applicants).
13. Statement of your views about China. Truthfully answer the questions and sign off.
14. Electronic version of personal ID photo on white background.
Note: The submitted materials must be clear, true and valid. The applicant is advised to use professional equipment to scan the relevant documents to be submitted and shall be responsible for any consequences resulting from unclear or unidentifiable documents. If the above materials are found to be fraudulent, the applicant will be disqualified immediately. The above originals shall be checked at the time of registration. Those who cheat will be disqualified for admission.
Admission Process
Preliminary Qualification Examination
The International College will review the applicant's passport, language ability certificate, highest academic qualification, recommendation letters, study plan and other materials to determine the list of qualified applicants.
Academic Assessment
The Proposed Admission List will be determined by the training college after the academic assessment, which is conducted by face-to-face communication, online video or telephone.
Admission and follow-up work
The International College will issue admission letters based on the approval of relevant government department and FAFU.
Registration Period
The usual registration period for international students is from September to October. Please check the Admission Notice for exact registration time.
Accommodation
The International College will arrange on-campus accommodation for new students who register within the specified period.
Scholarships Information
Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University Scholarships
FAFU will cover the students’ tuition, accommodation，health insurance and provide allowance for students
Standard of Allowance
Undergraduates：RMB 1500/month
Masters ：RMB 2000/month
PhD： RMB 2500/month
Fujian Government Scholarship
The standard of Fujian Government Scholarship shall be implemented by reference to Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University Scholarship.

Additional Remarks
Fraud Application
As for the fraud applicant, whenever it is verified, the application qualification and admission qualification will be cancelled according to the relevant provisions of the state and the school, and even the student will be expelled. If a crime is constituted, the judicial organ will investigate the criminal responsibility according to law. The result about the fraud applicant to be dealt with will be reported to the relevant national administrative departments and the embassies and consulates of the applicant's country in China.
