FAFU’s Research Team Achieves Breakthroughs in Lotus Seed Resistant Starch Study

Recently, the “Lotus Seed Science and Engineering” research team from College of Food Science, FAFU has published a research paper in Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, the top journal of agricultural and forestry science established by American Chemical Society (ACS), titled “Synergistic Effects of Lotus Seed Resistant Starch and Sodium Lactate on Hypolipidemic Function and Serum Nontargeted Metabolites in Hyperlipidemic Rats” (2021, 69(48): 14341-14722). The paper was selected as the cover paper in the current issue.


This research was supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (Grant NO. 31972076 and NO. 31701552), Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of Fujian Province (Grant NO. 2019J06012) and Program for Leading Talent in Fujian Provincial University (Grant NO. 660160190) with FAFU as the first author affiliation.
