Researcher Tong Queju of Canadian Innovation Research Institute came to the school to carry out academic exchanges

At 15:00 on September 23Researcher Tong Queju from the Canadian Innovation Research Institute gave an academic report entitled "SilviScan Technology and it’s Applications in Climate Change Research" in the conference room 310 of the Qishan Campus Complex Building.The report meeting was chaired by Professor Xie Yongqun, and more than 40 teachers, graduate students and international students, including Dean Professor Qiu Renhui, Associate Dean Professor Lin Jinguo and Associate Dean Rao Jiuping, attended the report meeting.

Researcher Tong Queju pointed out the importance of forest production and management to global climate regulation, introduced the features and functions of Silviscan technology, and focused on the sample research results of Quebec, Canada. The teachers and students at the meeting all had a strong interest in Silviscan technology, and actively consulted with Tong Queju to discuss and carry out intense discussions on related research.

Speaker Introduction

Tong Queju studied at the School of Wood Industry of Nanjing Forestry University from 1984 to 1991, andshe received bachelor and master degrees in wood science and technology in 1988 and 1991, respectively, and received a doctorate in wood science and wood-based panel in 1996.From 1991 to 2006, he served as assistant teacher, lecturer, associate professor and professor at Nanjing Forestry University.She is engaged in the teaching and research of wood science and technology. Since 2006, she has been a postdoctoral researcher of Innovation Research Institute of Canada (Formerly Forintek Canada Inc)researcher. She is engaged in the influence of forest management measures, regions and other factors on tree growth, wood properties and quality.
