Plutella xylostella is a cosmopolitan pest of cruciferous vegetables. Research team lead by You Minsheng and You Shijun belong to FAFU’s State Key Laboratory of Ecological Pest Control of Fujian and Taiwan Crops. On the basis of whole-genome re-sequencing of Plutella xylostella samples collected from 114 sites and 55 countries in 6 continents. The research results were published on the world-renowned journal Nature Communications on December 10th, 2021. The main authors of this project are Yanting Chen (first author) and Shjun You (corresponding author). They are respectively a doctoral student and an associate professor in FAFU.
