On March 12th, FAFU’s President Lan Siren met with a delegation led by Nicholas Coops, Fellow of The Royal Society of Canada and world remote sensing expert. The two parties held discussions on the bilateral exchange and collaboration.

Mr. Lan Siren extended a warm welcome and expressed gratitude to Professor Coops and his delegation for their lectures and presentations to FAFU’s faculty and students. Mr. Lan provided a brief overview of FAFU’s development and its efforts in international cooperation and exchange, emphasizing the desire to further enhance and innovate joint cooperative education. He highlighted the importance of exploring and expanding joint undergraduate and graduate supervision programs, as well as joint education programs at all levels. As pointed out, FAFU hopes to attract more experts with international prestige to carry out collaboration so as to bring out the full potential in high-quality international cooperation in education.
Professor Coops echoed the positive impact of joint education programs. He pledged active support for exploring sustainable models of bilateral cooperation and promoting exchanges and collaboration across various fields at higher levels.
Officials from International Cooperation and Exchange Office of FAFU, FAFU-Dal Joint College (International College), College of JunCao Science and Ecology, and College of Forestry were also present at the panel discussion.
