In the evening of December 21st, the online signing ceremony of Sister Province Agreement between Fujian and Nova Scotia of Canada was held in Fuzhou. Present at the ceremony were leaders from both provinces and heads of foreign affairs, education, commerce, agriculture, fisheries, culture and tourism departments.

The online signing ceremony of MoUs was hosted by Vice Governor Guo Ningning. In their speeches, Governor Wang Ning and Premier Stephen McNeill both applauded the achievements of cooperation and exchanges between two provinces in education, business, trade, art and tourism and looked forward to deepening cooperation and promoting development between both provinces in various fields.

Witnessed by Governor Wang Ning and Premier Stephen McNeill, President Lan Siren, on behalf of FAFU, attended the ceremony and signed letter of intent with Dalhousie University. At the ceremony, cooperation between FAFU and Dalhousie University became the highlights in educational and cultural exchanges between two provinces. After the signing of Sister Province Agreement, President Lan Siren signed letter of intent with Vice President Matt Hebb of Dalhousie University to build joint international college. FAFU and Dalhousie University agreed to establish the mechanism of regular contacts and collaborate closely to strengthen cooperation in knowledge dissemination, talents cultivation, science and research and social services. Communication and discussion on Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools and institutions is also in the agenda.
