According to the latest ESI statistics released by Cortellis on May 11, 2023(Data range: January 2013 to February 2023), Botany and Zoology of our university was selected as one of the top 1‰ disciplines in ESI in the world, the first discipline in the whole university to enter the top 1‰ of ESI, and the tenth university in China to enter the top 1‰ of ESI. Our university has become the third university in the province to have ESI one-thousandth discipline after Xiamen University and Fuzhou University. Pharmacology and Toxicology entered the top 1% of ESI for the first time, becoming the ninth discipline in our university to enter the top 1% of ESI in the world, and the number of ESI top 1% of global disciplines ranked first among provincial universities.

In this statistical cycle, FAFU has been included in 10,590 SCI papers with a citation frequency of 160,130 times, with an average citation of 15.12 times and 183 most cited papers. It ranks 1272nd globally and 119th domestically. At present, 9 disciplines, including Plant and Animal Science, Agricultural Science, Microbiology, Environment/Ecology, Biology and Biochemistry, Chemistry, Engineering Science, Materials Science, Pharmacology and Toxicology, have been selected as the top 1% of ESI’s global disciplines.
