Recently, National Forestry and Grassland Administration has replied to the Forestry Department of Fujian, consenting to the establishment of Juncao Science and Technology Key Laboratory.

Based in FAFU, the laboratory focuses on the latest development of Juncao cutting-edge technology, the key generic technology, and technologies crucial for industrialization. The laboratory will be dedicated to the germplasm innovation of Juncao so as to boost greater progress in environmental protection and industrialization of Juncao technology. To achieve this goal, the laboratory will focus on research on the resources and innovation of Juncao germplasm, the mechanism and key technology of Juncao in ecological conservation, germplasm innovation as well as nutrients and functions mechanism in edible and medicinal mushroom, application of Juncao as well as fundamentals in Applied Biology
