On March 28th, Elsevier officially released its list of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers of 2022, and seven FAFU scholars were listed. Professor Zhou Shungui, Professor Chen Lisong, Professor Liao Hong, and Professor Rensing Christopher have been selected into the list of highly cited scholars in Agricultural Resources and Environment, together with Professor Yang Jianzhou in Agricultural and Forestry Economic Management and Professor Tang Haibao and Professor Yang Zhenbiao in Biology. It is notable that in the list of Agricultural Resources and Environment, FAFU ranks 4th in terms of the number of listed scholars.

Covering 10 State Council Academic Degree Committee (SCADC) Subject Areas and 84 SCADC Subjects, the list includes 5,216 scholars from 504 Chinese universities, enterprises, and research institutes.
