On May 23rd (local time), 2,000 surgical masks donated by FAFU arrived at DUT. Professor Sibusiso Moyo, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of DUT and Sooriagandhi Wardthen, head of Department of Student Counselling and Health, accepted the donation on behalf of DUT and its COVID-19 epidemic prevention working group.

Confuscious Institute of FAFU at DUT delivered epidemic prevention materials to recipients
Professor Moyo expressed her sincere gratitude to FAFU. She said, since the outbreak of COVID-19 in South Africa, DUT has deeply felt the concern and thoughtfulness from Confuscious Institute Headquarters and FAFU; with the joint efforts and helpful support of all sides, South Africa would surely overcome difficulties and ultimately defeat the epidemic. Ms. Wardthen said these medical masks came very timely and would effectively support the current epidemic prevention work of Department of Student Counselling and Health. Thus DUT could better prepare for the classes resumption starting on June 1st.
