EUC Delegation Visits FAFU

 

On June 19th, a six-member delegation from European University Cyprus (EUC), led by Professor Kostas Gouliamos, Ex-Rector of EUC and member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, and Professor Loizos Symeou, Vice Rector of Academic Affairs of EUC, visited FAFU to explore collaboration opportunities in the fields of education and research. Mr. Zheng Baodong, Vice President of FAFU, welcomed the delegation at Mingde Building and chaired a discussion session.

 

Discussion Session 

Mr. Zheng provided an overview of FAFU’s development and international initiatives. He underscored the fruitful cooperation between China and Cyprus in areas such as politics, economics, culture, and education. He hoped that through this visit, EUC, as a strategic B&R higher education partner with unique regional advantages and academic strength, would catalyze practical cooperation in joint talent development, joint lab applications, and international industry- education-research-application partnership across fields including digital economy, agricultural science, as well as food and nutrition.

Professor Gouliamos extended his gratitude for FAFU’s warm reception and noted EUC’s commitment to fostering innovation and sharing institutional experience under the framework of the China-Cyprus strategic partnership. Furthermore, he expressed a desire to deepen bilateral exchanges and collaboration based on the signed cooperative agreement, aiming for new breakthroughs in cooperation across talent training, academic research, cultural exchange, and other areas. 

The Delegation Visits the FAFU-Dal Joint College 

During the visit, the delegation also toured the FAFU-Dal Joint College, where the two sides held extensive discussions on curriculum design, faculty development, and potential areas of future cooperation.
