On August 31st, FAFU and the University of British Columbia (UBC) held an online meeting to have in-depth discussions on deepening the existing undergraduate cooperation projects, promoting the application of joint training programs of forestry talents at the doctoral level, and building a new platform for scientific exchange and cooperation. Vice President Zheng Baodong hosted the meeting.

On behalf of FAFU, Zheng expressed his gratitude to Faculty of Forestry of UBC for its long-standing support to the university. The two sides summarized and reviewed the experience of the two universities in the cooperation of undergraduate programs in Ecology (Natural Resources Conservation) over the past ten years, and reached a preliminary consensus on further promoting the cooperation between the two universities in the joint application of joint training programs for doctoral students in forestry, promoting International talent training, and conducting short-term academic visits between teachers and students. The two sides also further discussed strengthening scientific research collaboration in sustainable forestry and biodiversity conservation.
