On March 3, Mr. Siriwat Pinitpanit, Vice Governor of Khon Kaen Province, Thailand, along with his delegation, visited FAFU. Tang Zhenpeng, Vice President of FAFU met with the delegation and introduced the development of international cooperation and exchanges in FAFU. He expected that the visit would promote collaboration between FAFU and Khon Kaen Province in areas such as rice cultivation and scientific research, and advance the promotion of Juncao technology in Khon Kaen Province to benefit the local people.

Visit to National Engineering Research Center of Juncao Technology
The delegation first visited the National Key Laboratory of Agricultural and Forestry Bio-security at FAFU. They conducted an on-site investigation to learn about the laboratory’s innovations in agricultural science and technology, talent development, research management systems, and international cooperation. The delegation then met with the rice anti-virus research team and visited the Vector Virus Research Center laboratory, and field greenhouses to observe the cultivation and growth of virus-resistant rice experimental varieties. They also visited FAFU’s Smart Farm and the National Engineering Research Center of Juncao Technology to learn about how the Smart Farm uses sensors to monitor climate, soil moisture, and crop growth dynamics, with real-time feedback to the control center. They also gained detailed insights into Juncao technology invented by Chief Scientist Lin Zhanxi and its remarkable achievements in global technical assistance and poverty reduction cooperation.
Mr. Siriwat Pinitpanit highly praised FAFU’s accomplishments in agricultural research, technology promotion, and international aid. He expressed his commitment to further strengthening exchanges and cooperation between Khon Kaen Province and FAFU in related fields.
Faculty members from FAFU’s International Cooperation and Exchange Office, College of Plant Protection, College of Agriculture, and National Engineering Research Center of Juncao Technology participated in the related activities.
