On September 25th, the delegation from the Papua New Guinea (PNG) visited our university for a campus tour and roundtable discussions.
During the exchanges, Vice President Zheng Baodong briefly introduced our university and elaborated on the current status and future potential of Juncao technology in the South Pacific Island Nations. He emphasized that FAFU is committed to fostering friendly relations and common development between our two countries. To this end, we will actively engage in exchanges and cooperation in science, technology, and education. Through various forms such as resource sharing, academic visits, and joint research, we aim to cultivate more high-quality talents with innovative spirits and practical abilities for PNG.
Mrs. Thatcher Ivarato,an official from the PNG Defense Ministry, proudly revealed that she hails from the Eastern Highlands, where a demonstration base for Juncao technology is located. Her connection to Juncao technology runs deep; she was fortunate enough to participate in training courses on the technology from a young age, witnessing firsthand its growth and establishment in PNG. Many farmers in her close-knit community have greatly benefited from Juncao technology. This special bond has fostered immense enthusiasm and respect for the technology within her. She eagerly hopes to build a bridge that will enable students from PNG to have the opportunity to come to China and delve deeply into advanced scientific and technological knowledge and expertise.
Before the exchanges, the delegation also visited the National Engineering Research Center for JUNCAO Technology at FAFU.
