Delegation from Tunku Abdul Rahman University in Malaysia visits FAFU

On the morning of October 16th, a six-member delegation from Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR) in Malaysia, led by President Datuk Ewe Hong Tat, visited our university to discuss educational cooperation. President Lan Siren and Vice President Zheng Baodong met with them for exchanges.

On behalf of the university, Lan Siren warmly welcomed Datuk Ewe Hong Tat and his delegation, and briefly introduced our university. He noted that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. Building on existing Sino-Malaysian agreements on deepening educational cooperation, FAFU intends to actively develop mutually beneficial partnerships with UTAR, spanning research, industry collaboration, and practical application. We aim to promote humanistic exchanges between teachers and students and to jointly contribute to educational cooperation and innovation-driven development under the “Belt and Road” initiative.

Datuk Ewe Hong Tat briefly introduced UTAR and the achievements of its educational cooperation with Chinese universities. He conveyed UTAR’s aspiration that this exchange would serve as a catalyst for exploring collaborative opportunities in mutually relevant fields, with the goal of fostering deep and practical partnerships.

The two universities conducted in-depth exchanges on jointly cultivating talents in fields such as food science, mechanical automation, and artificial intelligence, as well as exploring new models for joint education in agriculture and forestry-related disciplines.
