On the afternoon of March 8th, FAFU held a meeting to advance the preparations for the establishment of Dalhousie University College of FAFU. President Lan Siren attended the meeting, which was hosted by Vice President Zheng Baodong.
Meeting on preparations for the establishment of Dalhousie College
At the meeting, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange reported the preparations for the application of Dalhousie University College, a Sino-foreign cooperative institution to be jointly run by FAFU and Dalhousie University in Canada, and the International College reported its recent survey of Sino-foreign cooperative education in some sister universities. Personnel present at the meeting exchanged ideas on the work related to the application and preparation.
President Lan Siren put forward four requirements to accelerate the application and preparation of Dalhousie University College.
It is known that Dalhousie University is a top-level university in Canada, and has nearly 20 years of cooperation with FAFU. Recently, FAFU reached an agreement with Dalhousie University on the application for a newly-established college affiliated to FAFU with no legal person status. Dalhousie University College, offering higher education at both undergraduate (Bachelor) and graduate (Master's and doctoral) levels, aims to train talents with global vision and specialized in rural revitalization and regional development through international research cooperation.
