As was released by Research.com on April 12th, 2022, one hundred and eleven scholars have been honored as Top Plant Science and Agronomy Scientists in China, three of whom are professors from FAFU. They are Prof. Liao Hong and Prof. Chen Lisong from the College of Resource and Environmental Science, and Prof. Zeng Rensen from the College of Agriculture. Among the 29 universities in the list, FAFU ranks 8th in number of the scholars named.
The ranking contains h-index, publications and citations values collected on December 6th, 2021. It is a reliable list of leading scientists from the area of Plant Science and Agronomy, based on a meticulous examination of 166,880 scientists on Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic Graph.The inclusion criteria for scholars to be considered into the ranking of top scientists are based on the discipline h-index, proportion of the contributions made within the given discipline in addition to the awards and achievements of the scientists.
