First Management Meeting Held for FAFU-DAL Joint College

On June 6th, officials from FAFU and Dalhousie University in Canada held the first management meeting for the FAFU-DAL Joint College. The meeting, which is scheduled at least twice a year, was held on line and addressed a number of key issues, including enrollment promotion, curriculum adjustment, annual teaching objectives and development plans. 

At the meeting

The meeting was chaired by Zheng Baodong, Vice President of FAFU and Director of the Joint Management Committee, with Matt Hebb, Vice President of Dalhousie University and Deputy Director of the Joint Management Committee, and other committee members from both institutions were also in attendance.

Zheng highlighted the importance of enrolling students for the Class of 2024 and said that the committee should work closely to ensure both the number and quality of students. Meanwhile, it was hoped that more undergraduate programs, such as Computer Science and Engineering would be added in the future, and that the two universities would build a stronger partnership in scientific research and explore the possibility of offering graduate-level programs.

Matt Hebb praised the efficiency of the committee and both parties’ commitment to raising the quality of the joint program. He expressed full confidence in the development of the Joint College and the blooming partnership between the two universities.
