FAFU leaders extended a warm welcome to Professor Wang Guangyu, expressing gratitude for his support to FAFU-UBC cooperative education programs. While reviewing FAFU’s development, the school leaders pointed out that furthering the partnership with UBC is one of the school’s priorities in recent years. Over the years, the two sides have collaborated closely in disciplines such as Forestry and Ecology to jointly cultivate outstanding international talents in modern forestry, enhancing significantly the university’s global educational capacity and talent-training quality.

The two sides noted that both universities have similar academic disciplines and programs, which lay a solid foundation for further cooperation. They proposed expanding and deepening collaboration across multiple fields, including Forestry, Agriculture, Engineering, and Economics, aiming for comprehensive and multi-level exchanges. Additionally, FAFU school leaders urged departments and colleges to strengthen strategic planning and optimize the mechanisms for international cooperative education to build a distinguished international education brand.
