The conference was undertaken by College of Computer and Information Sciences, FAFU. The attendees were representatives and alumni from Fujian Agriculture And Forestry University, Xiamen University, Fuzhou University, Fujian Normal University, Fujian University of Technology, Minjiang University, Institute of Computing Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as a number of experts in IT field. Five internationally renowned experts in the field of Computer and Electronic information were invited to the symposium and delivered brilliant academic reports on their latest research results in Future Networks and Big Data.

The symposium was presided over by Professor Chen Riqing, dean of CCIS and a number of Fuzhou Forum, CCF YOCSEF. Professor Wang Jiangzhou, newly selected IEEE Fellow, Distinguished Professor of Chang Jiang Scholars Program, and Dean of School of Engineering, University of Kent made an academic report entitled The Integration Trend of Communication and Computing. He mainly presented the characteristics of Future 5G Mobile Networks from such three aspects as the Virtualization and Dynamic Caching of Communication Technology as well as its Dynamic Optimization in Operation.Xu Qingxian,  Professor of Department of Computer Sciences and Information Engineering, Chung Hua University, Member of IEEE Special Technical Committee on Cloud Computing, Standing Director of TACC, Supervisor of Taiwan branch of IET, and Senior Member of IEEE gave a lecture entitled Tackling Energy Efficient Challenges for Extreme-Scale Cloud Applications. Professor Min Geyong from College of Computer Science, University of Exeter, and the member of the Recruitment Program of Global Experts made a speech entitled Efficient Network Big Data Representation and Analysis for Future Internet. Doctoral Advisor Shu Feng, Chair Professor of Minjiang Scholars Program, and Senior Member of China Institute of Communications made a report entitled New Development and Challenge of Physical Layer Secure Communication Technology In Future Wireless Network. Huang Qun, Network Data Analysis Researcher of HUAWEI Future Network Theory Laboratory, and  Doctor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong delivered a speech entitled Towards High-Performance Network Analytics via Approximation Techniques.

At the end of the symposium, the attendees offered ideas and suggestions for the development of CCF YOCSEF. The symposium was aimed at providing a platform for Researchers and industry in the field of  the application of Computer and Electronic Information related disciplines in Fujian to share innovative thoughts and achievements. With the joint efforts of experts and scholars, the first International Symposium on Future Networks and Big Data achieved complete success.

It was said that CCF Young Computer Scientists & Engineers Forum was one of the series of academic activities invented by China Computer Federation in 1998. Aimed at shouldering social responsibility, enhancing member abilities, promoting member cooperation and exploring new mechanisms, CCF YOCSEF, as the most dynamic part of CCF, was schemed and organized by scholars, entrepreneurs and young elites from all walks of life, who were filled up with Passion, thoughts and sense of social responsibility..
