The experts of FAFU made special reports in the International Symposium on Phytochemicals in Medicine and Food (ISPMF 2015)

On June 26th-29th, the International Symposium on Phytochemicals in Medicine and Food (ISPMF 2015) was held in Shanghai Normal University. More than 300 scholars of medicine and food industry from many countries and districts had attended the symposium.

In the symposium, Professor Zheng Baodong, Associate Professor Zhang Yi, Dr. Chen Jicheng and Dr. Guo Zebin of College of Food Science of FAFU had respectively made a special report. Their relevant papers were then published in the special issue of the symposium《Phytochemistry Reviews》(IF=2.407) and《Food Chemistry》(IF=3.391), respectively, with a title of “Nutritional composition, physiological functions and processing of lotus (Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.) seeds: a review”(Phytochemistry Reviews,2015, 14(3): 321-334,Zhang Yi, Lu Xu, the co-first authors), “Structural characteristics and physicochemical properties of lotus seed resistant starch prepared by different methods”(Food Chemistry,2015, 186: 213-222,Zeng Shaoxiao, the first author), “Effect of Monascus aged vinegar on isoflavone conversion in soy germ by soaking treatment”(Food Chemistry,2015, 186: 256-264,Chen Jicheng, the first author), “Structural and physicochemical properties of lotus seed starch treated with ultra-high pressure”(Food Chemistry,2015, 186: 223-230,Guo Zebin, the first author).
It is known that, this symposium was hosted by PSE and PSA, undertook by Shanghai Normal University and co-hosted by FAFU and other departments; The aim was to strengthen the academic exchanges and cooperation between domestic scholars and European phytochemicals researchers, so as to promote the development of phytochemistry, natural products and the related research fields in China.
