The Director of Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of Mount Saint Vincent University Paula Barry came to FAFU

In the morning of June 5th, Ms. Paula Barry, the Director of Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of Mount Saint Vincent University and the associate professor Michael P. Whalen, the Director of International Department of College of Tourism Management of Mount Saint Vincent University Michael Whalen came to FAFU to discuss about the setting up of the International College (Sino-Canadian Joint College). The discussion was held in the second conference room of Mingde Building. Vice presdient Wang Zonghua hosted the conference. The relevant persons in charge of Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges and Overseas Education College of FAFU had attended the meeting.

In the meeting, Wang Zonghua introduced the attendees and the meeting programs, the Director of Overseas Education Wang Gefu introduced in detail the schedule of the application for the International College and the selected five majors. The two sides held an in-depth discussion about the setting up of the International College, mainly about the requirements for obtaining the university degree of the Mount Saint Vincent University, the curriculum sharing between the Mount Saint Vincent University and DUT, the selection and recruitment of teachers, the enrollment, tuition, name and management board of the International College. In the meeting the two sides have reached a basic consensus for the most of the contents and hoped to hold a tripartite meeting with DUT in a near future to ensure the success of application of the International College.

After the meeting, the Delegation of Mount Saint Vincent University had visited the Qishan Campus of FAFU.

It is known that, FAFU and Mount Saint Vincent University signed the Cooperative Agreement in running school in 2011. Since then, a total of 27 students have been sent to Mount Saint Vincent University to learn Accounting, Tourism and Hotel Management, Applied Human Nutrition and other majors. Recently, Mount Saint Vincent University and Jinshan College of FAFU have jointly applied for the construction of a Sino-Foreign Cooperative Program in running school for the major of Tourism and Hotel Management.
