A group of 10 persons from Canada Mount Saint Vincent University arrived at FAFU for Short Cultural Exchange Program

A group of 10 persons including 9 students and 1 teacher from Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) arrived in Shanghai on the1stMay, and began their 20 days’ Chinese cultural travel. This is the second international cultural exchange program after that of the American Texas A&M University that was undertaken by Overseas Education College.

From 3th May to 17th May, the group from MSVU attended a series of special courses that had been previously arranged for them, including: Chinese language, Taiji, experience of tea culture, visits of Juncao Lab and Bee Science College etc. During their stay in the FAFU Campus, the group have also attended a wonderful lecture given by President Lan Siren about the Chinese garden culture, together with other FAFU students of the Chinese-Canadian cooperative educational Programs.

During their stay in China, the group also visited Shanghai, Xiamen, Wuyi Mountain and Being etc. for experience the different regional Cultures in China. They terminated their Chinese cultural travel on the 20th May and returned back to Canada. Through these cultural courses, visits and experiences, they understand now more about China, Fujian Province and our university. This activity has promoted the inter-cultural exchanges between China and Canada.
