Stepping into the western gate of FAFU in March, first displayed in front is a golden carpet, oh, that's rape openning. One can never imagine that yellow can be such an amazing color ,just like a golden sea. The flowers attract many honeybees and butterflies flitting from flower to flower to take the nectar. This vibrant Scenery on rape flower field is always reminding us of the coming of spring .

  

Introduction

Rape is Cruciferae, Brassica, a bright-yellow flowering member of the family Brassicaceae (mustard or cabbage family).Its florescence is in springtime. The flowers born on top of the stem or branch produce great quantities of nectar .Moreover,the rapeseed is grown for the production of animal feeds, edible vegetable oils, and biodiesel.As one ofthe oldest vegetable oils,It is the third-leading source of vegetable oil in the world after soybean and palm oil. It is also the world's second-leading source of protein meal.
