The Basic Forestry and Proteomics Research Center of Haixia Institute of Science and Technology published their research achievement about the molecular mechanism of plant cryptochrome phosphorylation in《Nature Communications》

On May 12th, 《Nature Communications》,the subordinate academic serials of the international authoritative journal of 《Nature》, published online a research achievement about the molecular mechanism of plant cryptochrome phosphorylation titled “Molecular basis for blue light-dependent phosphorylation of Arabidopsiscryptochrome 2”.

 

Dr. Liuqing of Basic Forestry and Proteomics Research Center of FAFU was the first author of the paper, Dr. Wang Qin was the co-first author of the paper, and Professors ZuoZechen and Lin Chentao were the co-corresponding authors. FAFU was the signature unit of the first author.

This is another important discovery in the field of plant signal transductions by light receptor proteins after the previous paper titled “Photo activation and inactivation of Arabidopsis cryptochrome 2” published in the international top academic journal 《Science》 in October,2016by the Basic Forestry and Proteomics Research Center. It reflected the strong research strength of FAFU in the field of plant signal transductions by light receptor proteins. At the same time, it provided a theoretical basis for more accurately regulating the flowering time of agricultural and forestry crops and for improving the photosynthesis efficiency and yield of agriculture and forestry crops. It has important theoretical significance for basic research and application in agricultural practice. The study was supported by the scientific research start-up fund of Basic Forestry and Proteomics Research Center and the National Natural Science Foundation Project etc..
