In the morning of January 10th 2017, the ending ceremony of the Winter Camp in China of the students of the Confucius Institute at DUT  of the third session of the Chinese Bridge, was held in the Longyan Hall, Mingde building. The campers and volunteers of FAFU rounded off the winter camp with warm embraces.

The winter camp lasted 18 days. Seventeen students from the DUT in South Africa, accompanied by volunteers of FAFU, paid visits to Wuyi, Fuqing, and Fuzhou areas of Fujian Province, tasting snacks with full local characteristics and enjoying many scenic spots. During these days, they also took part in some Chinese courses to experience the Chinese culture. By doing this, it is hoped that those campers can feel the rapid changes and developments in FAFU, Fujian Province, and whole China.
During the winter camp, FAFU has provided a rich and colorful program for the campers, including not only the interesting and practical Chinese language courses, but also the Chinese calligraphy, paper cutting, Kongfu, Chinese tea art, Fuzhou thermal springs, Chinese movies and other Chinese cultural activities, and serial lectures on the China - Africa relation, the general introduction to Fuzhou, Fujian and China, etc.
