The Team of Professor Qin Yuan of FAFU got new progress in the study of the morphogenesis of plant female reproductive cells

The team of Professor Qin Yuan of the Center for Genomics and Biotechnology of Haixia Institute of Science and Technology made new progress in the study of macrosporogenesis of plant female reproductive cells by collaboration with Academician Chen Xuemei from National Academy of Sciences of the United States. Their research results were published in the world renowned academic journal《Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences》 in format “PNAS Plus’ on December 29th 2017, titled “KLU Suppresses Megasporocyte Cell Fate through SWR1-Mediated Activation of WRKY28 Expression in Arabidopsis”.

PhD student Zhao Lihua(grade 2015) is the first author, Cai Hanyang(grade 2016) and Su Zhenxia(grade 2013) are the co-first authors, PhD student Wang Lulu(grade 2016), undergraduate student Huang Xinyu, PhD student Zhang Man(grade 2016), postgraduate student Chen Piaojuan, research assistant Dai Xiaozhuan and associate Professor Zhao Heming are the co-authors of the paper, and also participated in the research work. Professor Qin Yuan and Academician Chen Xuemei are the co-corresponding authors, and FAFU is the signature unit of both the first and corresponding authors.
